4GB memory in XP
I recently bought 4x1GB for my computer running xp home. My bios sees it and if I go to crucial.com to scan my system it sees it, but xp only reports 2.25.
I am told that xp caches this memory and if I want to have full use of my memory I need to upgrade to vista sp1. Is this true? thanks Rittah |

Re: 4GB memory in XP
You'll need a 64-bit flavor of any Windows OS (except Linux) to use 4+ GB.
