Power Supply Recommendaton
I have an HP a6403 computer. It came with a 250 watt PSU. I'm planning to up the CPU, RAM, VIDEO CARD. I was looking at a 450 watt Corsair PSU. Would it be a good choice or should I go with a different PSU. Going to upgrade the CPU to a Pentium Duo 2 Core E8500, Ram is going to 4 GB PC2 6400, and the Video Card to a ATI HD3450. Also, what would be a better VC than the ATI HD3450?

Re: Power Supply Recommendaton
First we need you to run a program called Everest so we can know what all you exactly have inside that computer. After installing it and opening it up...click on 'Computer' and then 'Summary' from the drop-down memory. Then tell us what it says for 'Motherboard Name.'
Here's a link to Everest. http://www.majorgeeks.com/download4181.html Last edited by sorensen3021 : 06-10-2008 at 08:52 PM. |

Re: Power Supply Recommendaton
I used Everest to scan my computer and the name for the motherboard says unknown. It even says unknown for my CPU. I'm sure that the manufacturer of the MB is Foxconn(MCP73-6A61NFK1C-00).
