Hey guys, I was messing around with my PC the other day and I stupidly plugged in the power of a floppy drive while the computer was on, and it just turned off when I plugged it in. So I then turned off the main power at the wall socket and waited a few minutes then turned it back on, the light at the back of the power supply was now red, when it should be green. However all the motherboard lights turn on.
When I turn on the PC, all fans, cpu fan and lights turn on for half a second, then it turns off. Then if I try to turn on the PC again after that, nothing comes on at all. I tried the power supply on another computer and it does the same thing, motherboard lights come on, but power supply light is red. Does anyone have any knowledge of this power supply and how they fixed it? Or if its possible to fix it without buying a new one. This power supply has a lot of protection on it, it looks like it would work, but theres something stopping it, anyone have any ideas? Thanks a million! |
