P5KPL mobo and corsair ram... Not working

So I got an ASUS P5KPL mobo -
http://www.asus.com.tw/products.aspx...08&modelmenu=1

And this memory - Corsair XMS2 memory, 2048MB (2x1024MB), DIMM-240-pin, DDR2, 800 MHz, PC2-6400, CL5. (twin2x2048-6400) 5-5-5-12

It's all fine and dandy, so I bought another 2048mb - exactly the same product.
Put it in

Computer refuses to start...

What's up and what can I do about it?

Re: P5KPL mobo and corsair ram... Not working

i had the exact same problem and there is no solution to it other than changing all ram modules
the mobo only supports 2 double sided modules or 4 single sided modules is says it in the instalation manual

Re: P5KPL mobo and corsair ram... Not working

Not even 4 single sided modules are working ( A-data). BIOS update also does not help.
As the sound driver is also not working on XP SP3, this MoBo was a bad choice.
