vista 32 and ram

I am building a new system and will install vista 32. I have heard that the max memory I can install is 3 gigs. If so do I install 3 1 gb sticks or 2 1 gb and 2 512mb sticks? My new motherboard is xfx 680i LT sli.

go with 2 1GB sticks and 2 512mb sticks - If its the same kind of RAM this will give you dual Channel.
