Hi, i'm new here and i need help.

Hi, this is my first post. here is my pc spec. motherboard asus P5NE SLI with 2g of patriot ram, 320 seagate hd, dvd-rw rom, geforce 7300gt video card, and turbolink lc a420 atx. my computer sometime rebooting itself, especially playing game.. i'm pretty sure not a virus or spyware. could be my power supply? i was thinking upgrading video card to 7900gt do i need new psu. any suggestion what psu to upgrade. thank you

Hi, welcome to TSF

Whenever games freeze or crash after a short while, the first thing to do is check your system's temperatures and PSU voltages.

Open the case and post back with the details from the PSU label (make/model, total watts, amps for +12V).

Run PC Wizard at startup with no other programs running. Take with a screenshot from the 'Voltage, Temperature & Fans' window. Leave it open on the desktop and take another screenshot of PC Wizard during gameplay when it starts to lag by pressing ctrl-alt-del to switch back to the desktop. Post back with both screenshots so we can see how your system copes under stress.

Does the computer ever crash when you're NOT playing a 3D fullscreen game?

Do you get a quick flash of blue screen when the computer crashes, just before the computer restarts?

Are your drivers, MS Updates and system files all up to date? Any yellow or red flags in Device Manager?

If you're thinking of upgrading to a higher spec graphics card, it will probably require more power than your old card, meaning the PSU might need to be upgraded at the same time. I'll give more details on this after we fix your crashing problem.
