General Ram Question

For an older PC by gateway for example, would their be any reason for upgrading memory to go with 512 x 2 vs a 1gb stick? (it doesn't have dual channel capability)

Re: General Ram Question

no benefit to installing One gig stick >>>>> and you run the chance an old board may not like a ONe gig stick

I would stick with 2 x 512 >>>>> if you are buying the ram for this computer

otherwise if you have a one gig stick laying around >>>> try it
