hi folks,
can I safely use the following cable splitter to connect to a hard drive (or two)? I have a cable splitter which, at one end, has a six way female plug connected to 2 Molex male plugs (each Molex plug has only 3 pins fitted, the leads are yellow, black, brown) with the brown lead 'common' in the six way plug. looking into the 'shroud' of the Molex connector (chamfers at the top) the left hand pin is missing/not fitted. thank you for your help. regards, yoyojoe

Re: cable splitter - six way to 2 Molex plugs
the splitter which you are referring converts a PCI express video card power plug back to molex >>>>> yes you can use that, assuming your system does not use a video card which needs the pci express power pluyg coming from the PSU ????
