Roll Eyes What power supply do I need????

I need a new power supply for a better videocard but what power supply do I need? I am clueless and searched on the net but don't know what I need to look for... So I need help with this.

these are my power supply specs
Power Supply specs:

DC output Curent : +3.3V +5V +12V -5V -12V +5Vsb
10/5A 28.0A 34.0A 21.0A 0.5A 0.8A 2.0A
Total output Wattage: 450W

p.s. I have a PciE 1.0 motherboard so I'm looking for a 8800Gt of something in that range.

Re: What power supply do I need????

For an 8800gt, I recommend a minimum of 650+ watts to do a nice job with that card. Here are some great power supplies that would serve for a long time: Corsair 650 or 750, Seasonic 650 or 700, Thermaltake "Toughpower" 750. PC Power & Cooling Silencer 750, OCZ 700, Silverstone 750. What ever you do, please don't purchase a "cheapo" or you will be right where you are now. That is my opinion.

Re: What power supply do I need????

Antec used to be a great brand name; but there is evidence out there not that Antec is squeezing the lemon to stay with lower sticker prices

I would stick with the makes and models listed by Tumbleweed

Antec doesnt make bad power supplies; but for another $30.00 to $40.00 there are MUCH better choices

if you are goign to invest $300.00 or more on a good video card >>>>> then do the job right!
