Re: Ram Question

This only applies if you are running your ram in dual channel mode.

Re: Ram Question

Hi there, I would like to upgrade my RAM...

I have a FOXCONN P4M800P7MA-RS2H Socket 775 Motherboard and it says on the specifications that the memory can be a "Single channel DDR400 x 2 - or - single channel DDR2-533 x 2; max 2GB" when I checked it on www.motherboardpro.com. If you look at the picture of the motherboard, it has 4 slots for the RAM, 2 colored yellow and 2 colored blue.

Here are my questions...
1. Can I use 2 pcs. of DDR400 sticks (1GB/stick) only -OR- can I also use 2 pcs. of DDR2533 sticks (1GB/stick) only?? **I know that you can't combine diff. RAM modules**

2. Which is better to use (if applicable)?? The DDR400 RAM or the DDR2533 RAM?? What's the difference??

3. If I would use DDR400 or DDR2533RAM, where would I put it? On the blue or yellow slots?? Why does the motherboard have different color on the RAM slots anyway??

I hope you can clear this up for me, thanks a lot in advance! :)
