DDR2 533MHz?

Right now I have DDR 400MHz ram instaled into my computer, but I just got a free a free DDR2-533MHz ram stick, and I was wondering if it would still work in my computer?

I don't know very much about computer so I don't know if that's a dumb quesiton ha.

Any Help would be appreciated.

Generally, it will not fit nor work. However if your motherboard supports both DDR and DDR2 it will work but you'll have to take out any DDR modules you have as it won't work with a combination of the two.

Definitely won't work since the DDR and DDR2 use differ slots. Now, if it will work if your motherboard supports both slots just like the other person said.
