I am trying to breathe some new life into my daughter's computer by upping the RAM. It has a ASUS A7N8X-X motherboard and according to the specs it can take up to PC3200, so I bought a 1G stick and installed it. Now the problem....it won't boot! When I turn on the power, all I get is a long beep that is repeated every few seconds and nothing else. Are there some settings are jumpers I can change? Or have I wasted my money?

Re: A7N8X-X RAM Problems
check that it is seated properly don't rely on the clips clicking over

Re: A7N8X-X RAM Problems
Thanks dai,
I have made sure that the RAM is seated properly and tried it in the other slots. Also tried it with the old RAM in place - it booted, but just kept rebooting, Any other ideas? |
