[SOLVED] No Video Output
hi,
About september i built my own pc.. with the use of the forum tips .. i bought a atx case with which came with a 500w psu and my system specs are as follows amd x2 3ghz gigabyte s series mobo 8600 nvidia gefore 256mb by msi 2gb ddr2 800mhz memory 500gb hdd basically ive been using the system perfectly since its been built but as i was away for a week i didnt use it, on returning home and trying to switch the system on the system would just not switch on. therefore i presumed it was the psu and replaced it luckily enough it was the case that the psu had gone but also the mobo battery seemed to overheat so i replaced that, also now all mobo fan and all other components are working fine but i dont seem to get a video output/ as the mobo does not have a built in g-card... im hopeing that the g card has not gone but im afraid it may be the case also the memory seems to heat up aswel ? any ideas would be much appreciated ... ive thought about reseting my cmos but dont have a clue how to ... |

Re: [SOLVED] No Video Output
for future reference
we always recommend buying the case and the psu as seperate units as the ones they put into cases are usually not good quality

Re: [SOLVED] No Video Output
Even power supplies that come separately can be of poor quality. Check that the unit you are looking at is from a quality manufacturer before you buy one. The TSF power supply article has a list at the end of known good quality power supplies.
