New RAM causing computer to not start
Hello,
I recently purchased 4G of RAM (2 sticks of 2G) for my laptop. Here's it's stats: Acer Aspire 5610Z V3.33 Windows Vista Home Premium 1.60 gigahertz Intel Core Duo 2038 Megabytes 32-bit Operating System Basically I was looking for double the RAM, due to slight lag problems while playing games, mainly WoW. I understand Vista is not the best for playing games on, but I thought I would give it a go! The problem is now that when I place both 2G sticks in my computer will not start up. If I place an old 1G and a new 2G it's the same situation. It turns on then 3 seconds later it will turn off, then on, then off etc. I know the new RAM is correct because I am running my laptop with just one stick of 2G at the moment. Is there anyway of fixing this? Any help would be appreciated! ![]() |
