OS: Vista ultimate x64 sp2

My System

Ram issues in vista[MOVED FROM WINDOWS]

i have 4GB ram in my laptop

if i check the speed in my computer it shows 4GB ram

but when i look at it in taskmanager is shows slightly over 3
is this normal?

my bios also says 4GB ram

i run on vista home premium SP1

service pack 1 is supposed to fix the 3GB max problem on x86 as far as i know

after SP1 this was fixed(picture1)
but taskmanager still shows it wrong(picture2)

dont mind de high ram usage, i am installing unreal tournement 3 atm

All SP1 did was to allow the display of how much RAM is installed not how much can be used. a 32bit system can still only use a little over 3GB of RAM because of the addressing of other hardware.
