Ram Timings

Hi,
I've got a 3.2 Prescott on D865Perl Mobo with 512Mb DDR1 Pc3200.
My ram timings are

3.0-3-3-8 set at 200Mhz
2.5-3-3-7 set at 166Mhz
2.0-2-2-6 set at 133Mhz

I'm Currently running it at full speed.

I played with these timings when i lower the 1st fig "CL" then my system
doesn't boot up, but i'm able to lower the remaining figures somewhat.

What are optimal ram timings for my system?

Decrease the first value on its own until your computer won't boot and set it to the lowest value such that it will boot. Return it to the default, and do the same for the second, third and forth values. Then set them all to the lowest timings so that your PC will boot and run Memtest86 for a couple of rounds. I run my DDR at 2.5-3-3-6 since pretty much all of the DDR I've used can run at those timings at 200MHz.
