Hello,
I recently bought 2GB (2 x 1GB) of DDR2-800 RAM. However, I still have 2GB (2 x 1GB) of DDR2-667 RAM. I know that if I put the DDR2-800 and DDR2-667 together, all 4 sticks of RAM will run at DDR2-667. If I want to maximize performance, should I use my 2GB of DDR2-800 and 2GB of DDR2-667 together or should I only use the 2GB of DDR2-800 by itself? I mostly use this rig for gaming/Photoshopping. Thanks! |

Re: Optimal RAM Configuration?
I would sell off the 667 and just buy some of this
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820145040 Unless you use a 64bit operating system you will not be able to use much over 3G anyway so the drop from 800 to 667 is really a waste
