Can I?

Ok. So I have a 512mb stick of ram in my current computer. The currant computer is a dell. Can I put a toshiba 128mb ram stick in there to make it run abit faster since it's not playing my games very well anymore. Will that cause problems? Can I just slap it in there and see the change or do i have to do anything else?
Much thanks.

Re: Can I?

bit more information is needed, could you post your system specs, specifically motherboard make/model and type of memory in your PC now, and what type is the 128mb stick? should be a sticker on the memory chip saying what type it is.

Re: Can I?

Um I don't really know about the motherboard or stuff. If you can tell me where to find it without really openining it up if I don't have to right yet.
I have a dell Dimension B110
The RAM card that I was thinking of throwing in as an added bonus which is from another older computer. Its a toshiba 16Mx64 SD ram, it has chips on both sides.

Re: Can I?

Your system only supports DDR RAM according to this site: http://www.memory-up.com/memory_find...?modelid=13955

So no, the 128Mb stick won't work because it's SD RAM and incompatible, not to mention it won't even fit in your computer.
