Hey guys,
i have a home built pc, running windows vista home premium with intel QQ6600, Kingston hyperx 1000mhz ddr2, asus P5K WS. In the past i have been experiencing constant crashes. I did the windows memory diagnostis tool test and found a problem. Two weeks later i get replaced ram from kingston. Now 2 weeks later when the computer is under load again i start to get the same problem out of no where after a smooth 2 week computer. And i run the windows mem test again and it states that 'hardware problems were detected' i Run it the second time on the new ram and nothing i run it the third time and a problem was found. now, im guessing its not the ram as it was brand new. What about the mobo memory? Is there a way in which i can tell from the test weather its the mobo memory in which is failing? I really dont want to buy anything unless im sure :( thank you very much guys |

Re: Windows Crashing, blue screen
Try this memory test. http://www.memtest.org/#downiso
It uses a boot up disk. Also, if you loaded the os and other goodies with bad ram, it could have messed up the install. If the memory test ok, try a repair install.
