Re: Will this RAM work with this ASUS bored?
You should do your homework before you buy some memory
![]() So go to www.crucial.com or www.corsair.com and see if what you bought will work, if you are lucky it will, otherwise you may be selling the memory you bought. |

I also extend my condolences, great buy but please don't try and make it fit or you are going to break something

Re: Will this RAM work with this ASUS bored?
I wasn't TRYING to make it fit. I know what i'm doing inside a computer when it comes to RAM. Just the wires are in the way, so i'm not gonna do it myself.
the scan gave me this for RAM: Supported DRAM Types: DDR SDRAM only That means SDram will work right? Last edited by Apothic; 04-21-2008 at 04:50 AM. |

Re: Will this RAM work with this ASUS bored?
Well I am sorry to say but
DDR SDram is NOT SDram There is no way anyone be it yourself or a tech is going to make that ram fit. ![]() No one was saying you were trying to make it fit, we were telling you not to try http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DDR_SDRAM http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SDRAM you need to be looking in this section http://computers.listings.ebay.ca/Me...istingItemList Computers are like leggo these days but you still have to know which pieces to use. If you are adding to Ram you already have you should really be looking at latencies as well as trying to match brands and model to try and avoid compatibility issues. You also have to realize that if you put slower DDR ram in your system your computer will slow your faster ram down to match the slower one You need to find out what DDR ram you have in your system before you start buying more or it could actually slow your system down because as I mentioned above, if you have DDR 400 and you buy DDR266 both sticks will run at DDR266
