Confused After RAM upgrade intermittent crashes

Hi...I'm planetjazzbass a musician from Australia...I recently upgraded the RAM on my machine...p4s800-mx mobo 2.66Mhz celeron.....using 2 sticks of DDR 400 PC 3200 1GB....the OS system is WindowsXP.....Everything booted up smoothly with the new upgrade being recognized...However after running for about 5 minutes or if I put an application to work it now crashes all the time and blue screens me or worse black!..I have removed one of the sticks and am now running no problems but with only 1GB of RAM....can anybody please suggest a solution..my computer is used mainly for music production...cheers planet

you may need to up the voltage to the ram check the makers site for it's voltage range

Thank you for your suggestion..trouble is the ram I bought (from Fastmemoryman) has no makers mark on it just Labels with 1GB PC3200 184 PIN 400MHZ DDR DIMM.....also I would need a walk through explanation of how to adjust the voltage level......cheers planetjazzbass

FastMemoryMan's generic/Samsung RAM (on eBay) are all high density, so it could be an incompatibility with your motherboard.
