Ram
I recently completed a build but I'm having issues with the RAM. I can run 1GB but not 2. Spec's below
ASUS P5K Q6600 1GB OCZ 800Mhz PC6400 4-4-4-15 Platinum XTC x 2 8600GT 512MB 620W Corsair HX Windows XP SP2 + all updates to this minute BIOS up to date I've tried both sticks (1GB x2) and keep getting BSOD. Running 1GB is fine, each stick tested and working. I used each one for 2 hours while I used the system. Last night I read that I may of needed to increase the DRAM memory voltage. Using the default Overclocking setting in my BIOS the memory voltage wasn't available. When I changed the overclock setting to N.O.S more options became available, including DRAM Memory voltage. I increased it to 1.8V and the system wouldn't post, and my monitor recieved no signal, the light just blinked. Today after work, I tried the system on 1GB and it booted (SOO relieved). I was just wondering if anyone had experienced anything like this, or knew anything I could do to fix this. Thanks in advance. |

look at the timing for 1.8v and for the enhanced timing it recommends 2.0v
