Post Weird power supply/mobo problem

I recently purchased a Chenbro mini-itx NAS case (model# ES34069), I plugged my motherboard in (VIA EPIA EN15000G) and got no post. I removed the motherboard, and tested it on a bench, still no post. I tried the motherboard with a different power supply, computer posted. So I RMA’d the power supply, retailer sends me a new one, I plug this one in and get no post yet again.

At this point I broke out the voltmeter, and as far as I could tell the Chenbro power supply was working fine, and its output the same as the other power supply I was working with. I then tested the motherboard with a third power supply, worked fine. Then the real kicker, the Chenbro power supply powers a spare P4 pc that I have lying around.
For some reason, the combination between my mini-itx board and the Chenbro power supply just does not want to work. The real problem is that the power supply is a bare power distribution board that is custom fitted to this case, something which I can’t really replace.

Thanks in advance for any help, please don’t hesitate to contact me either.

Re: Weird power supply/mobo problem

yesm I got exaclty thesame motherboard and power supply issue with the Chenbro case. Unfortunately Mini-ITX.com is not replying on my mails for 1.5 weeks so I am unable to RMA it.

I too have attahced different boards to the power supply and see it work. Also, the en15000g works fine with other power supplies. It is just these two together that does not seem to work.

very weird.
