ram question
i had a bad stick of ram,
i pulled it out and my computer is running ok, i need to determine if it was the ram, or the socket it was in, the ram is 512mb 1rx8 pc2 3200u 333 10 a1 made by samsung, also does this ram have to be run as a set? a friend told me that, but the cpu is running ok with one, slow but ok, thanks rob |

Re: ram question
If you want to test if the ram is working ok, then I recommend you download "memtest86" and put the program onto a CD. Then turn off your computer and put the memory back on the memory slot.
Then turn on your computer and boot the computer to the memtest86 CD. Memtest86 should automatically begin testing the memory for errors. |
