Ram Problem, wont boot need help
I'm pretty sure I'm doing something wrong here
my mobo supports upto 4gb Ram its a GA-K8N ultra-9 right now I have 2 512 DDR PC3200 sticks running in the 2 blue slots I have bought a 1 gig DDR PC3200 slot just now when I place it it one of the 2 remaining Red slots. the PC wont boot up it just beeps at me to say their is a problem with the RAM I'm thinking maybe I have the incorrect RAM but I think there is something I'm not doing correct will it read 2 512s and a 1 gig or do I have to get rid of the 512s and upgrade to 1 gig sticks? |

Re: Ram Problem, wont boot need help
OK I will do but I was just thinking
I think its suppose to be in Duel Channel so does that mean it actually needs another partnered ram in the same colour for it to work? Ill try the 1 gig stick on its own first |

Re: Ram Problem, wont boot need help
To work in dual channel mode it will need the same exact stick in the partner slot. But it should work fine on its own. If the stick works fine by itself in the first slot , then try the 512 sticks in the 2nd and 3rd.
