Cas Latency: a brief tip please

I'd like to know if I can mix and match Cas Latency (CL) 2.5 on the same system as has an installed stick of CL3.

Thanks. The speed is not too critical I think. Just the price.

Did you ever sell that Zalman CPU fan? (Sorry if I don't know how to use PM's.)

Ok. thanks. I have another plan for a fan. It's something I was running on the old slot one: Take a large case fan: put threaded 5" screw legs on it (with nylon caps on the feet) and set it over the heatsink and plug in.

I ran the Slot one Pentium Joe Gates provided to me that way for --
dunno-- 6 months or more. I don't think that decoupling the Mass Cool fan from it's heat sink will destroy it's function. I'll be running a sensor program to check the temp and fan rotation and compare the results.

It may not work. But for $40 for a Zalman I'm willing to make this 3500 Sempron sacrificial. IOW if I get a years' worth of use and stop my ears from ringing, it's worth it.
