Freezing problem. PSU or GPU

Ok so a week ago I went out and bought the BFG 8800gt OC from best buy. I was running it on a 350W PSU. I was planning on upgrading b/c the GPU need 425W min, so I order a hec 750 watt PSU.

When I installed the new PSU I get random freezes especially when highly zoomed in photoshop. I am wondering if the PSU is bad, or the GPU (now fully powered) is too much for my mobo or what. Wondering if I should send the power supply back to Newegg.

Its strange, because I can play counterstrike with no freeze, and it looks much better with the new PSU.

Supposedly freezes are from overheating, but I am not overclocking my CPU. It stays around 48C. (GPU stock overclocked)

I have a Tforce 550 Mobo
amd x64 dual core 3600+
2.5 gig ram

Thanks for any help.

Re: Freezing problem. PSU or GPU

I should add it never froze when powered by the 350W PSU. The "freeze" cannot start task manager or anything

Re: Freezing problem. PSU or GPU

It is not only in photoshop. Freezes occur during normal computing also, and whenever I run 3D Mark. Also my computer has just been acting weird since the new power supply. For example; to turn it on this morning I had to flip the switch on the PSU a few times to get it to turn on (get my power button light to turn on also)
