installed 4 gigs only 3 comes up

i installed 4 gbs of ram and only says i have 3 ??? thx for the help

You have a 32bit Operating system. You'll need a 64bit OS to run 4gigs.

Yeah when you're running a 32-bit system, the maximum for ALL memory is 4GB, so about 1 GB is taken up by the graphics card, and various other things, so you should end up with only a bit more than 3gb.
