What Memory Should I Get?
HI -
![]() I recently purchased a GIGABYTE GA-MA78GM-S2H motherboard and an AMD Athlon 64 X2 4000+ Brisbane 2.1 GHz Socket AM2 65W dual-core processor. This motherboard supports ddr2 1066 ram. My question is should I get ddr2 1066 ram or ddr2 800 ram. Here is what I am looking at: 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 4-4-4-12 2.2V or 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 1066 5-5-5-15 2.0V-2.1V I guess my question is would the FSB for my processor get any benefits from the 1066 ram. I won't be overclocking the cpu or the memory. The ddr2 800 is CAS 4 and the ddr2 1066 is CAS 5. Thanks- |
