Question about power...
On my next build, I intend on trying some different things than with my current system.
I keep my current system on 24/7. With the new system, I think I might want to turn off the system after use and unplug it. Maybe I don't know anything but I believe turning it off and unplugging it could possibly save it from damage due to blackouts that occur in my area overnight and also vampire energy drain. Is it safe to power off the system, toggle the PSU switch to off and unplug the system? Would it really save any power or is the difference negligible? I'm looking to use an Antec Earthwatts PSU for my system. |

Re: Question about power...
unplugging the system would protect the system from damage due to the neutral leg of the service inadvertently getting charged. surge protectors do not protect when this occurs.
