Is my new RAM no good?
I just recently bought a 1GB stick of PC2100 DDR 266MHZ RAM. I'm pretty sure I did everything correctly. I found a website that gave all the specs for my motherboard, and then found matching memory. It said my motherboard can handle 2GB. I had 512GB in already, and i just added the 1GB.
When I put the new memory in, the computer won't boot up, the light will come on like the computer is running, but nothing shows up on the screen. I've tried the new memory in either slot and also alone. I can only boot my computer with the old memory. Any ideas? Thanks Jon |
