Ram Support
I really have a complicated question and I hope someone can answer it. I have a TOSHIBA SATELLITE A315-s4656 and it came with a 512MBRAM. I recently bought another laptop HP DV2617us and it came with a 2GB RAM. What I want to do is put the 1GB RAM from my HP to my TOSHIBA and put the 512MB RAM to the HP. CAN I do this? They both have ddr2 memory both 200pin, I believe. How do I know if the RAM is compatible or not?

Re: Ram Support
If your hp is a working computer, leave the ram alone.
Its probably a dual channel set installed, and needs to be left together to get the proper performance. Just buy some ram from newegg, the prices are relatively reasonable.
