Re: new ram don't work out with the old ram
you posted this question today
Ram Question what is your board model? it sounds from your previous post that your board supports dual channel memory.. from your description of the different colored slots, which means you need a dual channel memory kit. please take the time and post clearer information. your posts are vague.

What MOB do you have?
Some MOB support both DDR and DDR2 but not both at the same time, just one or the other that is why the different colored slots. My Asus supports 4 DDR or 2 DDR2. So check your manual.

Re: new ram don't work out with the old ram
Hi fearlest,
Are both rams the same brand? Though Ive installed differ brand of ram before in numerous computers without a hitch, sometimes a differ brand could be an issue and I had that problem before. computer_doctor |
