Ram problem
I have got 128 MB ram installed on my PC but now its shows only 98 MB in OS. please help me out to solve this issue .

Hi Christopher and welcome to TSF.
That is quite normal I'm afraid as the rest of the RAM is being used for other things; usually video. The only way you can get over this is by buying more RAM, but it is cheap these days.

If they each have only 128M RAM then no, there isn't much you can do I'm afraid. In any case, you could do with a lot more RAM than this. At least 256M or even 512M. You would see a big improvement in performance with this.

There are several reasons. Firstly, Windows itself will use a certain amount of RAM; second, if you have onboard graphics they will need a certain amount of RAM and third some programs do not release RAM after they have used it. With such a small amount of RAM you will find that Windows makes use of the swapfile on your hard drive. You may hear your hard drive "thrashing". Not only does this slow down performance, it imposes unnecessary wear on the hard drive and is another reason for increasing your RAM.
