I am preparing for my first real pc build. Right now I am running an eMachine and, as we all know, that just does not cut it with the Celeron D 3.33 Ghz CPU.
Anyways, I will begin with the parts I am looking into purchasing for the new pc : GIGABYTE GA-M57SLI-S4 AM2 NVIDIA nForce 570 mobo AMD Athlon 64 X2 4800+ Brisbane 2.5GHz My question, will this PSU work well with those listed items ? I have seen a couple people on NewEgg saying no because the PSU does not have one of the needed connectors for the PSU to plug into the mobo but the specs say it does have it. I believe they said it was the 4 Pin 12v ATX cable but, on Newegg, it is listed in the specs. I am a newbie to building a pc so I am not sure what exactly to do and was hoping someone here could help me if they happened to know information on these products. If that PSU will not work, is there a good PSU that can run SLI ( I don't have 2 GPUs but I like to keep my options open) with good power and around the same price ? ( $66.00 USD ) I know I left out what RAM, GPU, and other things I am considering but those don't really effect the issue at hand so I left them out in hopes of shortening this post. Any help is appreciated...
