Doesn't turn on
Well i got this old computer for free and it did turn on before but now when i push the power button it only gives this high pitch as it charging capacitor type of sound.
Well no fans start spinning no lights no nothing. PSU is TR 200W and has some old type of connectors. Motherboard/PSU have 2 old Original main power connectors although there is ATX20 connector as well right next to it. Is PSU dead? and how do I detect what motherboard is it? It has VT82C686A and VT8501 chips on it (Via on board sound and video). ps I had it transported (quite rough) and haven't checked since. Might be the cause. Can post pics if you need, just tell me what you want to see. pss I really want some linux distro running for basic internet/email. |
