memory question

Hi am new to this and trying to learn, so please excuse my niavity .
I recently got some compatibility warning issues so in order to investigate further I downloaded pc wizard to get my system lowdown. In the process I was checking my memory details and I noticed that it said my pc 5300 ddr2 supported frequencies of 200, 266 and 333mhz.
Now here comes the silly question I believed the memory was 667mhz(which is what I paid to be fitted ) so how come this is not a supported frequency. Can some1 explain this to me , please.

Hi,
DDR stand for double data rate. This means that the memory clock frequency is half the
frequency give in the name, i.e. 667MHz memory is clocked at 333MHz. They call it 667MHz since for each clock two accesses to the memory are made. See below for more info.
