not enough power??
Hi, so I am pretty sure that the problem with my computer is that my PSU is just not powerful enough, but it doesnt seem to make sense because I don't have that many things hooked up to it to drain it so much. Here is the scenario though. I have a 350W Dynex PSU, AMD Sempron 2800 processor, 1GB Kingston DDR, a WD120GB HD, Gforce7600GS, and a SB X-Fi Gamer sound card. Right now these are the only things hooked up to my computer, besides the motherboard of course, and whenever i play counter-strike, only game i really play, i can barely get over 50FPS in 640x480 with no other programs running. This should not be happening with a 250$ video card and 1GB of ram because i used to get 100fps with a MUCH worse computer. The only thing that makes me guess its my PSU is that when i try to hook up my other HD my computer wont boot up. Any help at all would be nice thank you

Re: not enough power??
Speedster is exactly correct. Some times a cheapo power supplly will work and as the capacitors age, then they go "south" on you. Yes, that can damage components like video card, memory, motherboard, etc.
