Incompatible RAM?
http://www.uniqueinfotech.com.au/cor...ry-p-6783.html
So I bought this stick today (CORSAIR VALUERAM DDR PC-3200 MEMORY 1GB), and promptly put it in my comp. The computer started beeping and carrying on so I took it out, then it worked again. I took my old RAM out, and left just the new stick now its running really well. This is my old RAM, 2 512 sticks of GeIL 1 GB PC3200 DDR RAM (ge1gb3200bdc). http://www.shopping.com/xPC-GeIL_DDR...T-1~VK-3070217 My motherboard is an ASUS a8ve-deluxe. Now the difference between the new RAM and the old is astonishing, it was lagging and being absolutely horrible for ages. Is there a way to get these two 512 sticks to work with the new 1 gb? I don't know if its worth it but it'd be good to have there for the time being. |
