Is it worth it...

Hey everyone.

Currently I have an Acer Aspire 3050 model number ZR3 if that helps?
I've googled and googled but can't for the life of me find anything on upgrading these laptops. Thus I've decided to ask anew.

I'm currently joining my friends at playing Dawn of War. I have this installed on my desktop and it runs fine and dandy. However I the minimum RAM requirement is 256MB. Given theres a laptop lan coming up I am wondering wether it is worth it, and even possible, to upgrade my Aspire with an extra 512 MB ram, if not 1GB or 2 GB ram. It current has a mobile amd sempron 3400+ processor 791MHz and 192 MB RAM which has been fine up until now as it was primarily for essays and internet research.

If anyone knows if it's possible to upgrade this model and what sort of RAM I'd need, or even just the best ways you'd upgrade it if it was your laptop and you were wanting it to be decently equipped for gaming. Any help would be much appreciated.

And if it comes to it and I can't upgrade it at all and it's worth me just buying a new laptop then alas I suppose I shall have to.

Thanks in advance.
D

My System

Re: Is it worth it...

welcome
IMPORTANT! Before You Buy Memory

go to the crucial link and let them run a scan on your lappy for a ram upgrade.
ram is always a cheap improvement for performance on any system, and it should be an upgrade that is easy to do.
