Gateway M680 Cant boot to windows after ram install, but recognizes ram ?
Hi all, I recently installed two 1 GB sticks of ram into my Gateway laptop
( M680XL http://www.engadget.com/2005/03/31/g...h-m680-laptop/) The brand of the ram is Kingston. DDR2 PC2-4200 533mhz 200 pin The computer recognizes the ram at the boot screen ( Says their is 2048 ram in it when the bios checks the memory ) But then windows wont start after that. Is it possible for this to happen ? Note that the computer was working fine before the ram was installed, but it makes me think the problem is something else since the laptop detects it. |
