Which Brand of Ram
hi, i am building a new computer and cant decide which brand of ram to go with. i was considering the corsair xms2 pc2 6400 (of course the 2gb kit) and then i came across the crucial ballistix trace ram which i thought was very cool... i dont know which brand to go with as far as performance for OCing will go. i want ram with timing of 4-4-4-12 and definately 800mhz. oh and this is going on a P5N32-E SLI with a E6600.

Re: Which Brand of Ram
I really don't think you can go wrong with either
crucial ballistix has a good rep for OC'ing

Re: Which Brand of Ram
as far as i can tell its just the LEDs (ae buy these if you have the money and a side panel window) vs the normal. Crucial is a brand that I have heard nothing but good things about, however Corsair also has a fabulous reputation (corsair has relatively poor tech support tho...that might be a deciding factor if you fry ur DIMMs overclocking)
Also, I think that you have set your timing and mhz relatively loose/high if you plan on OC'ing. You could pick up a low mhz low cas module then loosen the timings and boost the speed and save some $$. ~lag |

Re: Which Brand of Ram
Corsair support, "Ram Guy" on their site is pretty good.
Both brands are excellent.
