[SOLVED] Is my ram set correctly?

hi,

i recently upgraded 512mb ram by sticking another gig in. The performance difference was a little better, but i was expecting more. Im wondering if there are some settings i could change to optimise my performance. Maybe changing the the page size, but i know very little about all this, im providing cpuz results, hopefully one of you finely educated people could help me out

Re: Is my ram set correctly?

Hi bravepills
When you added the i g stick did you just add it to the next slot? if so put the new 1g stck in the first slot then the 512 in the second the right click my computer/click properties/click advanced/click settings under performance/click advanced, look at virtual memory it should be set to 1 1/2 x the amount of ram installed 2304, if not click on change and change initial and maximum to 2304,click ok,ok again,ok again
