could it be power supply
have a hp pavilion 511n, several days ago everything on pc slowed really down. Since then the pc fails to start. When i plug in the power cord the little green light on back of the pc lights for just a second than goes back out. Was wondering if pc is history or could it just be a power pack promblem.If power pack are they hard to replace and what is the cost of buying one .

most likely yes / its a power supply problem
they are easy to change and a good one costs around $80.00 >>>> dont waste your time with the cheap junkers you could go to best buy / comp usa / staples and look for the antec trio rail 650 watt power supply or antec trio 550 watt at the least
