Stall during POST "Memory Testing:"

Lately my computer has been crashing, so I did a memtest and one of the sticks was bad. Currently I have the remaining good stick in and the crashing is gone.

However, sometimes during the POST, it'll freeze at "Memory Testing:" and won't display the ram amount. This doesn't occur on every boot, but when it does occur it always stalls in that exact spot. If I then shutdown, take the stick out and put it back in, the computer will always boot up properly.

The boots that don't stall are fine, and the OS is completely stable. I've checked the temperature readings and they're fine. There's no dust on the chip nor in the fitting. In addition, I changed the BIOS to last-known-good-configuration, but that didn't help at all.
