Which RAM

Hi,

My Comp is Intel P4 Intel 845 GVSR Mob and 256 MB RAM.I am planning to upgrade the RAM to 1 GB. Can anyone tell me the What is the RAM Type of this motherboard. is it DDR1 or DDR2?.In the RAM it is written PC333 only.

I know that my mob supports ram upto 333Mhz clock.if 400Mhz is put is there will be any problem?

Re: Which RAM

You can verify what ram you have by using cpu-z linked below, though an 845 chipset does not support DDR2, If in fact you are running DDR333 (PC2700) memory modules are still be available either at newegg, or Tigerdirect. You can normally get away with using pc3200 in place of pc2700....the memory should default to the lower speed rating
