Emachine power up problems

My wife put her Emachine W2260 pc Win XP Home in "sleep mode" a couple days ago & when she tried to start, the fan runs, the hard drive cks the dvd & cd, there is no power light lit & no monitor input. It's like you just cannot wake it up, except for the fan. HELP!!

Re: Emachine power up problems

Have you Pushed the Power Button on the Monitor? Checked the power cord on the monitor? Is there a hard switch on the monitor to toggle between digital and analog?

Do you have a video card installed? If so did someone play a joke and plug the cord into the onboard monitor port? If the computer is sleeping you should atleast get an amber colored light... If you are not seeing a light at all it sounds like you are not getting any power.
