might want to reopen your case and make sure nothing was knocked loose when you install your new ram. Sometimes when pushing wires out of the way they will disconnect.

Re: installed new RAM and system won't power

I think I tried that at least a 100 times with no success. Any other suggestions. I also put the old ram back in and still, nothing!

Re: installed new RAM and system won't power

what ram did you try to install and what ram was being replaced.
does the cpu fan spin?

clear the cmos, either by the jumper or pop the battery out for ten minutes after you unplug the machine.

Did you destatic yourself before touching the ram and motherboard?

Grin Re: installed new RAM and system won't power

I found the problem. The cpu actually came loose when i was taking things apart and when i put things back together, two of the gold pins got bent. I was able to bend them straight and fix the unit. I also was able to install the new RAM also. Thanks for all your input!!!!!!!!!:
