[SOLVED] PC Posts with 1 stick, not with 2?
My system specs (nothing OC'd):
Mobo: ECS C19-A SLI (automatic) V1.0A, FSB 1066 GPU: Gigabyte GV-3D1-7950-RH 7950 GX2 - main card (w/ connectors): BIOS v. 5.71.22.24.05 - 2nd card: BIOS v. 5.71.22.24.06 (different?) CPU: Pentium D 960 3.6 GHz RAM: Dual-Channel Patriot DDR2 667 (2x1 GB) Power: 550 W (came w/ case) The problem: My computer has been running fine, then today I turned it on and just heard fans for a minute with nothing appearing on the screen or even a POSt beep. So, I took out both sticks of RAM and put ONE back in. Everything ran fine. I checked the BIOS and made sure everything was set to default. Then, I swapped out the RAM for the other stick, and everything came on and worked fine again. Finally, I put both sticks in (trying different slot combinations) and nothing happens each time.
