Power/Moved overseas
I have a Samsung Printer which only supports 110 volts which I bought in the U.S.
Recently moved to the UK which supports only 220-240 volts. Is there an adapter I can get that will enable me to use the Samsung in the UK? Thanks? Andy |

Re: Power/Moved overseas
Thanks!
Follow up question. If I have already erred and tried to plug in a printer using 115 volts into a 230 outlet and got the predictable "boom," is there any chance the printer will still work? Same with a PC? |

Re: Power/Moved overseas
Unfortunately the printer is likely fried.
There is normally a switch on the back of the power supply (near the power cord) that allows you to switch from 115v to 230v. If you plugged it in without setting it to 230 you probably fried the power supply, but there's a good chance the PC itself is OK and you may get by with just replacing the power supply. |
